Most people arrive tired and a little weary. This is normal, and it is exactly why CABI is built slowly with local groups, plain language, published guidelines and no one asking you to commit to anything before you have seen things with your own eyes.
Look before you get involved
Take your time. Read everything, attend an event, ask questions and simply observe. There is never any pressure to participate before you are ready.

Every Assembly has named facilitators, published safeguarding arrangements with fair and transparent guidelines and processes.

Some people attend meetings or make a monthly donation. Others volunteer, share skills or help start new local Assemblies. Every contribution matters.

Communities have gathered in circles on these islands for thousands of years, for the simple reason that it works. No head of the table, no back row, no one speaking on your behalf. That is the shape a community assembly still takes today, in a village hall or a back room of a café, wherever people decide to sit down together.

How CABI actually operates, day to day
CABI is a network of local and regional community assemblies located across the British Isles. A community assembly is a group of people in one area who meet, share news and updates, agree what matters locally and act on things together. There is no head office deciding things for your locality and each assembly has its own listed facilitators.
Members come together to learn about CABI and how Natural Law works in practice, share practical skills, organise local CABI meetings and community events, support independent traders and providers, and look out for one another. Every assembly is run by local people, working to shared standards of safety, fairness and openness that anybody can read up on before joining.
Joining is free for life. We encourage everyone to take part and make a contribution and anyone can leave at any time without having to explain things to anyone.
